Ohio Argues its Right
to Purge Voting Rolls [CNS, 7/28/16]: The
state of Ohio, a key battleground state in this year's presidential election,
told a Sixth Circuit panel on Wednesday that it believes it has the right to
purge from voter registration rolls anyone who hasn't voted in consecutive
federal elections and did not respond to inquiries about a change in their
address, regardless of the reason.

shocked, flabbergasted and appalled lawmakers and national security experts
across the political spectrum, with some describing his comments as
"treason."

latest controversial utterance on Wednesday, telling anyone who would listen
that "of course" he was being sarcastic when he said should find
Hillary Clinton's missing emails.

recent articles that are relevant to this unit
Reagan shooter granted full-time convalescent leave [Jurist,
7/28/16]: A judge for the US
District Court for the District of Columbia on Wednesday ordered Ronald Reagan
shooter John Hinckley Jr. released from a government psychiatric hospital.
Hinckley was found not guilty by reason of insanity in 1981 and was admitted to
a psychiatric hospital where he has remained for 35 years.
Charges dropped against remaining officers in Freddie
Gray case [Jurist, 7/28/16]: Baltimore City State's
Attorney Marilyn Mosby announced Wednesday that charges against the three
remaining officers facing trial in connection with Freddie Gray's death will be dropped.
While in police custody in 2015, Gray sustained a spinal cord injury, which
ultimately resulted his death.
