SCOTUS deadlock seen limiting Clinton options on immigration [Politico, 6/25/16]: The Supreme Court deadlock over President Barack Obama’s executive actions on immigration makes it unlikely that if Hillary Clinton wins the presidency, she’ll be able to quickly fulfill her promise to take bold action on the issue.

The Supreme Court's immigration decision is a tragedy that may be short-lived [Op-Ed in LA Times, 6/25/16]: The decision is a sad turn of events. It freezes Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents, known as DAPA, and restores renewals of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, to just two years, instead of the proposed three years. These deferred action plans in various ways allow the “DACAmented” to stay in the U.S. without fear of deportation.

One year after the supreme court's same-sex marriage ruling, the fight continues [The Guardian (U.K.) / ISA Today, 6/26/16]: Anti-LGBT legislation 'designed to undermine' has proliferated since Obergefell v, Hodges, but for one Alabama couple there's a semblance of normalcy.
